Happy Fried-Day! (September edition)

I was looking back at my previous Fried-Days and realized something: almost all of them are sweet. I'm actually pretty surprised by this discovery because I typically would rather eat something savory. So, where oh where are all of the savory noms? 

Wonder no more! I'm here today with one of the most notorious fried foods...

Good ol' French fries! 

Seriously, is there anyone out there who doesn't love the classic slice of spud, tossed into hot oil, and then sprinkled with salt?

Or, for your foodies, try some of the more "gourmet" fries that have been popping up all over the place lately. These particular beauties are Truffle Fries from Fox & Obel in Chicago - hot, crispy taters tossed with Parmesan and served with a truffle aioli. Amazing!
